Standing up to Modern Slavery

We want to make sure everyone in our supply chains is treated fairly around the world.

Across our brands we source products from more than 25 countries. Sourcing with integrity is vital to us, so we’re working hard to prevent workers in our supply chains from being poorly treated.

We can’t do this alone, which is why we fund training and collaborate with others as part of our efforts to stop modern slavery.

Training Suppliers

The fight against worker exploitation starts with awareness raising and prevention.

We help fund training programmes, which suppliers that use agency labour attend. This is run through an initiative called Stronger Together, of which we’re a member.

Collaborations

We continue to work with others to ensure the fair treatment of workers around the world. For instance, we’re sponsors of the Responsible Recruitment Toolkit, supporting our suppliers in recruiting responsibly and we contributed to the creation of a new certification scheme for labour providers called Clearview.

We support the Consumer Goods Forum Forced Labour Priority Industry Principles to ensure that: every worker should have freedom of movement, no worker should pay for a job and no worker should be indebted or coerced to work. In South-east Asia, we support the Issara Institute, an alliance of brands, NGOs and experts that focuses on tackling human trafficking and forced labour through various innovative methods.
